| Latvia is situated in North Europe. It is a democratic country, which has been a member of the European Union since 1 May 2004.
The area of the country is 64 589 km2, and its inner water is 2543 square kilometers.
Latvia borders with Estonia in the north (343 km), Lithuania in the south and south-west (576 km), Russia in the east (282 km) and Belarus in the south-east (167 km).
The length of the sea border is 494 km, therefore Latvia is economically attractive for European companies, that have business contacts with such countries as Russia, Estonia, Lithuania and Belarus.

Riga is the capital of Latvia. Its area is 307 km2, and this city is the most economically developed. There is the largest seaport and airport in the Baltics. There are the most popular enterprises in the capital. Riga is a very beautiful and old city, that was founded in 1201.
Daugavpils is the second biggest town in Latvia (110 thousands people). Its area is 70 km2. Daugavpils position is very attractive, because it is situated 200 km from the border with Russia, 20 km from Lithuanian one, and 40 km from Belarus border. There are a lot of manufacturing objects in the town which can be purchased in low prices. Prices of land and immovable property are the lowest in the country.
Yurmala is a recreation town that is situated on the shore of the Gulf of Riga. Its location is only 50 km from Riga, and its number of population is 46 000. There is the best beach of Latvia in Yurmala and its length more then 10 km. Prices of land and immovable property are the highest in Yurmala’s territory. There is the modern aquapark (Livu) near the town, therefore all mentioned above factors make this territory very attractive for tourists.
